• Re: Weight replacement 1900
Now I need to find the replacement part. Any idea where, besides buying a whole for-parts turntable on ebay?
Yes There are two slightly different versions of this part, maybe you can show a photo of your part ? BTW. It may be the bottom edge you need to lift away from the tonearm. I'm not sure. Well, you are not the first to believe it when the foam surround sellers state that it's sooo easy to do a refoam job yourself. The spider is the inner coil support where the foam surround is the outer. They support the cone and coil etc. for a perfectly parallel axial movement. Sorry but this sounds like a typical failed DIY refoam job. I've seen so many, you wouldn't believe it. There's no other way than to start over with a new surround and dustcap etc. A grinding noise like this suggests the aligning of the coil/center piece and/or the spider is far off. How did you align it ? Martin

Steve, Welcome to Beoworld ! I seem to remember that you have to lift off the counterweight and then you can just lift up the upper edge of the slider window and ease it outwards. It holds a small lead block sitting inside the arm and this block comes out with the window. Martin

  • Re: Dimensions needed for Beovox floor stands

Yes, the screw on the vertical part is for setting the angle of the speaker. It's a screw with its head cast into a rubber bumper. A fingerwheel-type washer sits behind it to tighten against the metal to lock the chosen position. Martin

Mårten, Velkommen til Beoworld ! Udfra hvad du fortæller, tror jeg, jeg ville begynde med at udskifte de to elektrolyt-kondensatorer i udgangene og den store i strømforsyningen. De er som regel dårlige. Martin

  • Re: B&O Studiomonitor type 6257

I agree, very nice find. B&O produced a couple of different speakers specifically (or modified) for Danmarks Radio. Definitely collectable ! I found type 6257 mentioned as Beovox 5702 here http://www.bang-olufsen.com/product-archive?ProductName=BeoVox%205702 Note that they are different from the GB Beovox 5702 (Type 6251). I am almost sure, that

The stands for Beovox S45(6427)/S55/S80/S80.2/S120 is type 6017 and has a height of 52cm. The ones for Beovox S45-2(6312) is type 6013 and has a height of apprx. 44cm. They have the same fitting and footprint, only the height differs. Both types were produced in two versions; One has the vertical bar welded to the square foot, the other has an allen

  • Re: HUM in Beomaster 5000

Most likely broken PCB tracks and cracked solder joints at the RCA sockets. It's very common. Martin
