Unfortunately not - the angle changed - only the SP1/2 cartridge fits. It does come with the facility to change the stylus though so is quite versatile. It is quite a specialised arm so need a bit of dedication!

I have an ST/P and a custom SP1/2. Axel in Germany made the cartridge and Frede of Classic Audio in Denmark serviced and repaired the arm and made the armboard for my Beogram 3000. I would suggest that you could easily get a better arm, though it produces a typical B&O sound. It rather depends on whether you want an original Beogram or you want

I have a slide rule - and can use it! My physics teacher however memorised log tables and could perform long multiplication in his head quicker than a calculator - and I saw him do it! I have to confess to always using log tables rather than a slide rule - easier and quicker. Calculators were relatively new and you were not allowed to use them in exams

Well I think this is a super little product. Lee and I saw a prototype when in Struer last year and were impressed at the time. I thing it will become available in various colours and I think it is specifically designed to appeal to women. However I can see a place for it in many homes.

Happy Christmas to all at Beoworld - and hopes for a splendid New Year. Many thanks to Lee for providing such a wonderful site and to Keith and the moderators for keeping it running so smoothly.

The Leica may well hold its value more in years to come - I would suggest the Nikon will take better pictures, as long as you adjust the nut behind the handle properly....

Sounds like you have an Xtra Speaker kit. This allow you to wire this into another room and the system is controllable from that room. This is a MCL system so the signal is at speaker level. I still use MCL as it is wired into my house although almost everything is now ML in the system! You used to be able to buy a new screen kit for the Beolink 5000

I am sure B&O could do a factory tour for 50 - but if you get anything like what Lee and I experienced earlier this year, that would be impossible. B&O seem to be particularly friendly towards BeoWorld at the moment and I am sure that it will be a very special trip. I am sure there will be future trips for those not lucky enough this time.

A large number of posts are generated by a relatively small number of people - As Phil correctly points out, many people will be gold members for the draw - and a good deal it is!

I have both - the 4000 is the better sounding.
