  • Re: BeoSystem 5000

Thank you. RCA's in place and it is sounding great. I'll get a DIN adapter for the CD player, or, better yet a CD50 to complete the system. And, of course some S55's or RL60's to replace the old KLH model 17's I'm playing through now. Any thoughts on why my beocord 5000's are smoking (I have two, one with a tape stuck in

Thanks, lausvi. I don't have the jumper forks between my "line in" and "line out RCA's. The picture really helps. I've seen jumpers like that on old tube amps, Fishers and Scotts and the like. Are you saying that with those jumped my output should be normal?

OK. I've now aquired a correct antenna and speaker wires for my beosystem 5000. Also have MCP 5000. I have the beogram 5000 plugged into the correct DIN receptacle. I haven't hooked up either beocord 5000, because they both smoke from the left rear when I turn them on. I'll check into them later. Everything seems to be in working order,

It's plugged in there. I tried it in the one above (aux/cd) just for fun and got nothing.

  • BeoSystem 5000

Have recently acquired a beomaster 5000 to go with my beogram 5000. Very low output (I'm listening through headphones) from the turntable (with a proven MMC3). Perfect sound from a CD player hooked up with RCA connectors through the "line in" jacks, although it plays through all audio channels (aux, phono, tape). Anybody?

  • Master Control Panel 5500

Does anyone out there (Martin) know if a MCP 5500 works with a Beomaster 5000?

  • Re: Beogram 1800 Belt

Thanks. A poster on another site suggested another motor with another belt for the arm. I lifted the platter and sub-platter and saw a nylon gear that seemed to be stuck in nuetral. I twiddled with that and the arm moved, replaced sub-platter, platter, and...voila. Now, just waiting for the DIN/RCA adapter. Unless a B & O reciever reveals itself

  • Re: Beogram 1800 Belt

Maybe you can help me. I just picked up a beogram 5000 with mmc 3 cartridge Powers up fine when I press start but the tonearm doesn't move and it shuts off after 3 seconds. Same when I press "cue". I don't have the DIN (7 pin) to RCA adapter to hook up to my receiver yet. Could this be effecting tonearm?
