I have a pair of S55's with blown surrounds. They (the surrounds) were weak when I got them, and I never was impressed with the base response from them. I have a pair of woofers from the Beovox 3702. They are a little smaller, but seem to fit and seal nicely. My Question concerns the ohms. 6.4 on the S55 originals and 4 ohms on the 3702's. What

Store, sound, then what? My MCP doesn't have a "sound" button. Volume, status? Or down below balance, bass treble? MCP 5000

One more thing...Does anyone out there know how to program the start up volume for a Beomaster with MCP. When I turn it on, it comes on @ 4:0. I would like to set it @ 2:8 or thereabouts. I bought a Product Description Beosystem 5000, but although it says you can program it, it doesn't say how to do it. Thanks for your help.

Thanks, Martin. I would like to get a set of belts from you , as well as repairing the power supply. Now it won't open when you push the panel. Any info on disassembly/assembly/etc.. would be greatly appreciated. I have heard these were great decks, thats why I got two. ($8.00 US on ebay for one, the other was a gift). One of the Beacord 5000's has stopped smoking, so I'm playing with it. It opens and closes (after 5 seconds or so it closes on its own), counter lights come on, but I can't put a tape in. Drive mechanism is engaged and the metal tabs that keep you from removing it are in what I assume is the play position. I took the cover off, but haven't

Thanks for the info and advice. I will tear into the beocords ASAP as possible. I have a user manual (copy) on the way, that may help me navigate the remote.
