• Re: Apple & B&O: is imitation the best form of flattery??
I'm not on board with what 10% writes. Apple does have numerous inventions under its belt, but what they are extremely good at is to improve upon existing interfaces and placing them within relevant contexts that add value to the customer experience. Jobs was obsessive about the customer experience, just as Jensen

  • Re: Surround with B&O

Hi I thought I should post my progress to the collective. It does work and very well . I am at the finishing stage, i-e cleaning up the mess, routing cables, positioning speaker .. REPAIRING DRYWALL and programming. The system performance is very good. I ended up using a Yamaha AVR (RX-V2067) with: 2 Pairs of Beolab 8000 and a Beolab 4000 as center

  • Re: Feature article now in OCt WIRED magazine

I am sick to death of people moaning about "Audiophiles lost out to audio files". I bet these are the same people who shunned CD when it was first launched as they listened to their crackly, unlife like records.
I guess I read this differently. I didn't read this
I take exception to the comment "There's an "impress the neighbors" quality to these products." WTF? Not Mercedes, BMW or Audi, nooooooooo. Or any number of other "luxury" goods. Part of the underlying promise/premise in all luxury goods is the message "I can afford it, and perhaps

  • Re: Connecting BeoLab 8000
Thanks for the reply. I studied it enough that I was confortable with conncting one of the speakers to the TV output. It worked fine. The volume control on the TV controlled the volume of the speakers very well. My only problem now is that when the TV is turned off, there seems to be enough of a signal or feedback such

  • Re: Beolaba 6000 repair

Hi Hoping to get a reply since this thread is old. I have a B&O system. I have severail pairs of speakers among these, two pairs of Beolab 6000 which have developed the rattling sound characteristic of blown woofer/midrange drivers. I need to replace these. The B&O dealers inthe USA I have so far contacted do not sell the individual drivers

Hi I wanted to take some time to post these impressions: B&O makes startling and beautiful products. No doubt about it. I am in awe of their aesthetics. I also believe in cost effectiveness. If the only available product for a particular task is at a given price, I don't see it as 'expensive”, if there are alternatives and they perform
