just got back to checking this thing, no luck so far, not sure how to check idle current. also don't know how to check DC offset without the unit on. no sign of any shorted transisters

thanks for your help so far, Martin. 7600021 is the correct part # for the relay I mentioned. I am almost certain that the relay is faulty, the unit will turn on but just for a split second, then the contacts on said relay open up as soon as they make contact. I have also observed the relay, in service position when i tried to power it up, i can see

Thanks for the welcome! the relay is located on circuit board # 11 with two other fuses. It is a four channel system from '81

can anyone help me locate a relay for a Beomaster 6000. The relay is labeled 11 2516029. thanks
