The clock symbol, reboot and EPG problem is likely to do with signal quality and could be as simple as a bad antena cable. Is the hiss present on all sources?

Your setup should work. Try disconnecting mains for a couple of minuts. Otherwise it's probably a faulty ML-cable

I have a linked BV1 and it works well. But you need a late version that have ML capable of option 6

I think the Ds are there because 250 watt AB would weigh a ton and you would need cooling the size of a fridge, ie they are their because they are efficient

There is no such thing as a digital amp. D in class D doesn't stand for digital. That notion is purely marketing. There has to be a DAC somewhere in the chain and there is no tech benefit of building it in in the speaker. The main benefit of class D is effiency. The BV10 has 3 scart and 3 HDMI connections. The new DVB HD module will not occupy any of these and it's T2 and CI compatible.
