The screws are loose and the platter along with the whole bottom moves up and down but seemms it is sitting too low.

has issues... Sits unlevel. feet missing? also platter sits so low the record scrapes the deck a bit. What's going on here? I tried to post pictures but they are too large.

Thanks to Martin I got the parts needed and it was not easy but I managed to get it back together and now enjoy my 3400 with a functional dustcover. I did let let the spring float free while focussing on the clips first. At one point I used a pair of pliers to hold the spring in position while tightening down on the outer clips.

Thanks again. What you describe is what I see. However, another thing that makes me think something is missing is the feet. On the left side facing the turntable there are two feet?, one front and one rear. They are hard plastic angular corner pieces which seem to be part of the chassis mold. But they are missing on the right side altogether so the

I actually have 5 decks fully functional, I mis-counted the first time. And a couple more that could be made functional with a little work perhaps. Anyway I was thinking about moving a couple out and wanted to keep one Beo but maybe I will end up keeping them both.
