Did this just start? I was at B&O store on Sunday and nothing advertized or mentioned while I was there.

It is actually a very neat light when seen in person - the picture does not do it justice. And it does come in several diameters, and there is now a LED option. An even more imressive light is the Raimond light - http://www.moooi.com/producten/196-raimond.html it goes very well with all that B&O aluminium.

The manufacturer is Moooi and it is called Random Light (White). There is also a black version.

I have the usual problem with the laser needing replacement. I talked to B&O store in New York and was told they send it to US headquarters for repair but coud not give me an estimate until they opened it up - not even an estimat that ultimately if they needed to replace the laser how much it would be. That is unfortunate as I was hoping for the backlit LED technology, as from what I have seen from other vendors it is superior to LED edge lit. I did see the 7-55, and while it looked wonderful, it is far too large and dominates the room in my opinion.

From previous threads i was expecting a new 7-40 to have been released already. Anyone have any news and whether it would be full LED like the 7-55?
