  • Re: Beomaster 4000 vs. 4400

Many thanks to previous posters for their thoughts. I've gone and aquired the Beomaster 4400 and have hooked up my Beogram 4000 to it. Now to get the tuner working properly I need to find an antenna/aerial to suit. Am I correct in assuming that I need to find one with a male PAL connector?

  • Re: Beogram 4000 Suspension

Does anyone know the exact size of the spanner needed to adjust the suspension screws? None of the tools in my collection fits the bill.

  • Re: Beogram 4000 Suspension

The platter sits below the plane of the top plate, even with the transport screws fully disengaged. This seems wrong to me. I'll have a look at the service manual to figure out how to adjust the springs. Many thanks for the suggestions!

  • Beogram 4000 Suspension

I've noticed that the platter suspension on my 4000 seems a bit "tired". By this I mean the platter is almost bottomed out with an LP on it...there's only about 1-2mm of give before it hits the bump stops. Is it possible to adjust, or "tighten" the suspension at all? Or does this indicate a need for replacement of the suspension

  • Beomaster 4000 vs. 4400

With a Beogram 4000 now under the roof (thank you Peter for your helpful advice on cartridges), it seems a shame not to match it to an era-appropriate receiver. My understanding is that the Beomaster 4000 is the "correct" match for this deck, but the 4400 seems to have better specs, as well as a silver faceplate (which I prefer from an aesthetic

That looks very nice indeed. You must have removed and re-applied the stickers to the cartridge to get that "finished" look.

  • Re: First time bad feedback on Ebay

[quote user="tournedos"] [quote user="Jonathan"] The guy that left me the negative won the auction he was bidding for. I'm located in Australia and he is in America. Immediately after the auction ended he paid for the item and added only $5 for international shipping. I sent him an email stating that the actual shipping cost

That is incredibly helpful; many thanks. Was it difficult to "silverize" your MMC20EN? That's a great idea.

  • Beogram 4000 Cartridge Choices

I've been a Beogram owner since the mid '80s, but have only recently discovered (to my delight) Beoworld. I'm hoping that the collected wisdom on this site can point me in the right direction. I've recently acquired a Beogram 4000 deck, ex-cartridge, and I'm attempting to determine the best option for supplying it with a cartridge
