Thanks for your response. I tried giving the connection a clean, but still had no luck with getting it to work.

I recently purchased a Beosound 8, and it works great with my iPad. I also have an older ipod touch (1st gen, I think), but when I connect it to the Beosound, no audio is played. It appears to playing the track, and the Beosound remote lets me change track and change the volume level, but no audio is heard. I believe the ipod has the latest firmware
