It's a great device and I absolutely love it in conjunction with an iPad. Please note that the latest Apple TV doesn't have analogue output so you'll need a DAC to hook it up to the AUX in of your 3200. If you just need audio and don't want to buy a DAC, look into the Airport Express.

Hans, I was referring to the internal electronics of the MCL2P. If you're comfortable with soldering electonics, look at the schematics of the amplifier. If nothing works/lights up at all, check the power supply section first. Check the caps and voltage regulators on board 5 to get started. What have you checked out so far?

Hans, If you check the schematics of the MCL2P, you'll see that there is a simple trigger on the powerlink socket to turn it on. On the schematics I have, it says pin 4, but my circuit board actually uses pin 1. I forgot the trigger voltage (4V maybe?) but you could probably just wire up a resistor from the exisiting circuit to provide a constant

I think you can convert a Beosound 1 for US by simply connecting a jumper on the power supply board. You also might need to set the tuner mode using the service manual if you intend on using FM. It looks like they have the service manual here on the site.
