Oh You lucky guys in the UK!!!! ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Seriously, anyone willing to pick

No, no Harry Potter at all... Goblin Teasmade's (and their cousins, Goblin Coffeesdun's) originate from South Gondor region in Middle-Earth. The evil Morgoth created them as domestic help, cause Orcs and Trolls tended to break all the nice chinaware. -jari

Thanks Chris! I have tried eBay, and there seems to be some 4 of them on offer now, but half of them are collection only and the rest won't ship them outside UK. - jari

Hi all, I know this request has nothing to do with B&O equipment, but hope some UK-based members can help me, anyway! I'm desperate to find a nice Goblin Teasmade D25 set - the old rounded art deco-style tea-making apparatus with clock and light. (Want it as a birthday present for my wife...) There are them regularly on ebay.uk, but after few

Well, my pictures were taken when I put the machine back together so the cables etc. may be a bit out of place, I can't remember which cable runs I adjusted before or after each picture.. Actually, on this one I think it was tied up with the two other cables on the left (to clear it out of the way perhaps ??) ? Does this sound reasonable ? Oh dear

OK, its the caps and solder joints next, then. Just thought to ask first as the "0.0.0.0" kinda looks like an error code! (when not even all segments are lit like "8.8.8.8"...) Ordered a new tacho disc already from Martin! - Jari

I have a Beogram 8000 which does nothing but display numbers "0.0.0.0" on display (and the cue arm light is on too). Just a quick question, is this a known indication (error code ?) of totally fried microprocessor or could it be just bad cap/soldering which could be mended with a cap kit and resoldering ? - Jari

On my machine (which is a 4705), the recording head is about the same as You guys, and the playback head is even more tilted forward- should have taken a picture, but missed that, I'm afraid. - Jari

Oh yes, the timer belt: I left only small opening between the machine and keyboard (i.e. almost closed the keyboard down) and then used my wife's crochet hooks to get the belt in place. They are actually very good tools with all belts, tuning wires in old radios etc., the crochet hooks! - Jari

Yes, it took some wiggling to get the tapehead assembly out, but I did it without bending the parts (much..)... You'll need even more patience to get it back, but just take it easy, have a cup of coffee (or something stronger if that't how You feel) and take Your time! - Jari
