Hi and welcome to tis wonderfull forum. You are right those 4 holes are for mounting a face plate for wall mount or one for seeling Also they can be used for the floorframe. You could use flatpanel mounts, but you can ask member Leslie here on the forum, maybe he can help you with original mounts.

do not use glue! Instead use a good quality double sided tape. You have to remove the plastic moldings which held the glass. That is really simpel; look at the bottom of the beocord you see a small hole marked with an arrow, stick a paperclip in it and slide the plastic trim to the left. Now you can remove the cable connectors. Clean up those plastic
