  • Reliable NA parts source?

Trying to rescue a BM 5500. Does anyone have suggestions for reliable N.A. parts dist. for trans./diodes/res.? I would prefer a 'one stop' if possible. I may be dreaming. I understand these days that the internet makes the process 'global'. Not trying to exclude anyone, reliability, service, speed and selection are most important. Thanks

  • Re: What Are You Working On Now ?

This is my newly acquired, 'poor condition' BC9500. I haven't delved in much. mains cord cut. But It's in better condition than I hoped. Bought it off Craigslist from Florida, 2190 miles away. Managed to get the CD door open with the screwdriver'trick' (thanks, forum). But the mechanism is a little loose from shipping, so I had

  • p45 shipping suggestions

Yes, I know the overwhelming respnse is "DON'T!!". But if one needed to ship a set, are there any suggestions one could give the sender short of gluing the drivers, as they aren't comfortable with that. Would it be adviseable to just remove the drivers and pack them seperately? Or is that going to cause a different, more ghastly set

  • Re: Free RL140s

Very kind, Chris. Truth be told, I probably stole the avatar idea from you! Handsome pointers? The 140s was just too good a deal to not pass along, since I had no chance at it. Now if I can just get that little Beocenter 9500 from the other side of the country (4400 km away)! It's really reasonable even considering it needs a lot of work. I'm

  • Free RL140s

Craigslist listing today for Hollywood, California. Went out at 2:03 PT I'm moving today and this pair of speakers has no place for me. I am going to leave the speakers by the dumpster at 915 N Wetherly Drive West Hollywood, CA 90069. When I see that they are gone I will remove this post. First come first serve. They work great and they are MAD

  • Re: CD50 Terminal

Thanks, Martin. The picture actually came through more clear on my cell. It's the keypad that is hard to read (for my eyes, anyway). I think that now I can get the second key from the top on the right side. That's the INDEX button next to STOP? Is that the control that tells the player to scan through the first bit of each track, or is that

  • CD50 Terminal

Does anyone have a good image of a CDTerminal, for reference? In addition, how about pics of the remote receiver PCB6? Thanks, Brian.
