• Re: Sorry to disappoint but B&O may have best tech but do have the worlds worst people talk, listen designed telephones.

I have a suspicion that we have been unfortunate enough to have someone who has felt downtrodden by big business and who has vented his frustrations upon us. I imagine the disappointment from having his ideas apparently poached has made him bitter and also very wary of anything that is said to him. I do hope that we have not added to his distress even

  • Re: Happiness

More likely to be due to the state provisions available. Denmark has very high taxes but also very good social provisions. Thus some of the problems associated with poverty in other countries, the UK included, are to an extent averted. Probably not a popular answer though!!

  • Re: SP 14 noise trouble
@Peter: You quoted the MMC4000... I thought you got the wrong post or something... Sorry!
The passage above states that the styluses can replace thouse in certain cartridges - one of those mentioned in the SP15. As you know, the SP15 was the original cartridge for the Beogram 4000 and is, to all intents, a MMC4000

  • Re: SP 14 noise trouble

I see the link but the stylus will not fit an SP15 as this is an early version of the MMC4000 and the stylus is not replaceable.

  • Re: Beoworld Asia Poll

I agree with your general thrust - I am just not sure that a dedicated Asia Forum is the correct route. I would suggest that the General Forum will have a lot more Asian traffic and that the centre of gravity of the whole site may well move East. However I see this as a gradual change and I am personally against another forum as I think that the likely

  • Re: Serenata advice

I am sure iTunes quality is fine - I take it you import at a high rate? I rather liked the Seranata though it would not tempt me away from my iPhone in a million years! The built in speaker is clever if ultimately not that great!

  • Re: This would be a cool B&O remote control

I take it that this is just a photoshopped iTouch. Looks a little impractical to say the least! An iPad does the same but rather more safely!

  • Re: BEO System 5000. Value and where to sell?

I imagine that you are in the US. The 5000 system is a little tricky as although it is the best made of the styackable systems, it uses unique remote codes and this means that it does not integrate well with newer B&O products, unlike the 5500 and beyond. The price in the UK would be about £300 - 500 but would probably include the MCP5000
