I have no problems soldering capacitors and LEDs, but how do you remove the PC boards?
-
For some reason the 45rpm lamp switched on when I started the 4002 in 33rpm mode. I suspect bad capacitors but which ones to replace? Any other ideas?
-
Yes its the lamp for the photoresistor. What is the Part# for the lamp and photoresistor on the schematic? I should replace all the lamps with white LEDs. Thanks!

On startup my 4002 does not stop at the beginning of the LP and lower the arm. My arm lowers (only when it detects a record) manually. How does the TT know when to stop?
-
I found out how to remove the platter, but how do I remove the rest of the metallic top?
-
Mine is type 4002 5523 if that helps.
-
I have the opposite problem: the arm doesn't raise at end of record or when buttom ^ is pushed. Or couse it goes up when ac cord is taken out of AC outlet. Any suggestions?
-
Yes I am referring to the main plug turning the unit off. At the end of a record, the carriage moves right, dragging the tonearm and cartridge across the record; not good for record or expensive cartridge. Thanks for your response Tom

I have a Beogram whose arm drops on power and does not lift when pressing the cue button or at the record end grooves. The arm is able to slide and returns back up after power down. Any ideas where I should look for fault? Thanks

I just bought a 1900-2 and found the balance control to be broken as well. How do I open the unit and gain access to the slider PC connectors?
