I think Dkatz is just a snob, pure and simple...
Snob or otherwise, it seems he has seen and experienced an awful lot of designer items, brands and retailers ( not to mention the numerous factory visits round Europe !!) in the his first eight years of adulthood.
You have to remember Moxxey that the UK is a democratic country, has been for ages. The fact that the Union Workers can rise up at all is a statement that it is a free country. In China if workers did that they would get fired. If they complained about the government, etc... they would be put in Jail. Britain hasn't
I do love the way Westerners live in their ivory towers.....We invade, we overrule, we talk about working conditions, yet conveniently forget our own history.
Indeed moxxey - I said something very similar way back on Page 2. The West is in for a rude wake up call, imo - with a pincer movement of pressure - one
in terms of Audio equipment however and that has always been more expensive than those mainstream brands as I mentioned and haven't gone up in price as much as the TVs have

the point is that besides TVs most of the B&O equipment hasn't gone up in price as I stated with
Maybe a personal slanging match should be taken offline!
I don't agree. Whilst there may heve been a few digs & jibes, it's an interesting discussion based around some opposing views.

So, i'm afraid that your claim that B&O having never been beyond the reaches of 'ordinary people' is, quite simply, incorrect. Bang and Olufsen have historically always been a brand that only the rich or 'very comfortably off' could afford easily. More middle
