You were right about the rubber thing Geoff:) I have fixed the hinge thanks to Medogsfats trick and now this arm thanks to your help. I will get time to put the CDX together later in this week, I just hope it works as it should. I just love how the internet is making the world smaller and bringing people closer.

Is the purpose of the original piece of plastic just to act as a spring, that returns the arm to its former position efter activating the microswitch? Hi Geoff Can you repost the pics of the arm? I am new here and I have a CDX in need of help. I have repaired the left hing but it looks like there is an arm beneath it that also is broken, but i can not find the missing piece so I am having a trouble repairing it. Any help on this issue would be appreciated. Thanks. Odinn
