  • Beosound 5 - replacement advice

Hi everyone. I have a bit of a quandry and am in the market for a bit of advice. I currently have a 2010 Beosound 5 and Beolab 9s. A system that I am pretty happy with but I have to sell the Beosound 5. I have 2 questions: 1) I'd like to keep the Beolab 9s as I love their sound and shape, but am not sure what non-B&O systems would connect to

  • Remote control for Beosound 5

Hi all, I am just wondering what people's opinions are on remote controls for the Beosound 5. In particular would people choose a beo 6 or wait to see if a decent remote app appears on the iphone/ipad? Obviously I want to be able to view album artwork on the remote, so two way comms is a necessity. Any thoughts would be appreciated..

  • Re: BS5/BM5 wishlist

This is a good thread. Certainly the updates are not as frequent as B&O suggested but that may point towards everything working on the BS5 ;-) I would like to see: Ability to turn MOTS off. • Re: Backing up Beomaster5

Thanks both for your quick answers. Beobuddy, I agree, I prefer the option of not having to copy 100GB across my wireless network. Knowing that PC hard discs can fail, has anyone considered whether it's worth backing up the disc as an image in case there is a disc failure, or would you leave this up to your dealer to have fixed?

  • Backing up Beomaster5

Hi everyone. I was wondering if anyone bothers with backing up their BM5. I use mine only for playing music (no photos) and know that I have all the music already on my PC (and original CDs) but having spent quite a bit of time copying folder art to the individual albums' folders in the BM5 I would not want to have to go through the process again

Hello Paul, Thank you very much for your swift reply. I will try your suggestions later this evening. It's reassuring to know that it is possible to do what I wanted. Regards, Andrew

  • Listing to Parts of Albums

Hello everybody. I have recently bought a Beosound 5 which I love, but I have one huge problem with it and the problem is that after finding a CD I cannot select, say the 2nd track or any other track number and play the rest of the album. As soon as a track has finished, MOTS kicks in and heads off to a different album. Also, if I'm listening to
