If I remove the toslink from the mac mini and replace it with a stereoplug that goes to a regular audio rca and connect with "decoder" scart input on my beosystem1 with this scart plug: http://cc-tv.club24.co.uk/Scart-RCA.JPG ..I get sound instantly with computer (mac mini) picture. It´s just that it´s not surround sound.

Hmm.. doesnt work.. I dont think the bs1 is reacting to the input signal. Maybe I have to change so that mac mini outputs something similar to a dvd. I have set the output to digital in mac mini sound settings and a program called perian that is controlling some sort of audio is also set to output multichannel. I have tried dts,dd and multichannel,

I did that, and still the left flickering bar is appearing. The funny thing is that it dont appear until the login screen shows up. Anyway, it dissapeared for some reason randomly a while ago so I am sure it will be handled soon. anyway, please look at my other thread, the no-sound issue is really bugging me http://forum.beoworld.org/forums/p/35513

I have a mac mini connected to beosystem 1 via a beovision-4 50" I can see the picture via dvi but no sound. I can hear sound if I connect rca cables to camera input but my goal is of course to have the mac min output hearable sound to the system both if it is stereo or multichannel. From the mac mini there is toslink - > converter - > coaxial

My tv is woring fine when watching regualar tv. But when I use the installed dvi-port on the screen with a mac mini there is a flickering bar / vertical line in the left side of the screen. Other than that the picture is fine. When changing resolution the flickering disappears on some resolutions: 1366x768 flickering 1344x756 flickering 1280x720 flickering

Now the system is hooked up (bv4-50 + bsystem1. I have assigned an apple tv box to the decoder input. There is no actual cable in any of the scart sockets. The video is going directly to the panel via dvi instead. I see the picture but no sound. The sound is going from the apple-tv´s optical out, to a converter box that converts to coaxial cable

I dont get it.. the screen I have (bv4) has got a upgrade with a dvi socket on the back of the screen. I have connected a source to that connection and I see the picture. But how do I tell beosystem-1 that it should bring out the sound from spdif 1 or 2 where I have connected a coaxial sound-cable ? The manual only mentions scenarios where the sources
