  • Re: Audio cd on dvd, no sound

I agree that its normal for you to be confused. On my previous thread where I noticed your comments I talked about the mac mini so I started to move my mind into that since its my main problem and also why I tested with the dvd just to see what happened. But as you told me I need two leads. I plan to use the mac mini as "advanced dvd-player"

Sorry, I am probably a bit slow :) I begin to see things a bit more clear now. In the service menu, in monitor info, everything regarding SW = software is above 1.9 but you probably mean something else. So what I need is probably something like this: http://www.gefen.com/kvm/dproduct.jsp?prod_id=5980 but I need a splitter like this also: http://www

  • Audio cd on dvd, no sound

Have attached a dvd to my beosound 1. Coaxial cable. When playing dvd with surround sound I hear sound but when changing to a cd-disc with standard music I hear nothing. I have set the dvd settings to point all audio to the coaxial cable. This also happens when a computer is attached.. no sound other than surround. Any clue?

  • Re: Remove autostart with dolby 3 stereo?

I can change it via beo4 display in "speaker" and press i.e "2" but the default on cable-tv is always stereo3 and that source is "a cable" so I cant change that in any way. It says in the manual that only speaker 3 and 5 is available on video so I guess beo is assuming everybody purchase a center speaker :) I will probably

  • Re: Mac Mini and BV7-32

May I break into this thread.. I have a beosystem 1 and in the manual it says it can handle both pcm, dolby digital, dts etc "Automatic format detection (Dolby Digital, PCM)" Is this possible all through the same digital cable from the mac mini to the system? I see something about enabling pcm in the service menu? Do I need that? I have no

  • Re: Beovision-4 dvi resolution problem

Still having this weird problem When I boot up the mac mini I see the grey screen and the apple logo without any problem. When I enter the blue screen and later login, there is a artifact on the left side of the screen about 5-10 pixels wide which is changing colours rapidly on each pixel / line I think I can rule out any kind of interference since

  • Remove autostart with dolby 3 stereo?

I am configuring a beosystem 1 with 2 speakers in front and 2 in rear, no center When I start the tv and select menu > setup > sound Speaker mode > video is either speaker 3 or speaker 5 Speaker mode > audio is either speake 2 or speaker 4 Active sound system is set to dolby 3 stereo (and cannot be changed) So every time I start the tv I

  • Re: Assigning spdif sound to dvi dvi source on plasma?

YEs! Got sound from the coaxial cable at last! I can play dvd´s in apple´s own dvd player. I spoke with apple support and I had to set the dvd-player to always output digital signal and not downsample to pcm. Is it correct that the cable connection I now have active does only play ac-3, dts, dd signals on the beosysten-1? The mac mini only

  • Re: Assigning spdif sound to dvi dvi source on plasma?

Ok, thanks again I went into the servicemenu, changed slot assignment to AV and now the computer image shows up on one of the two dvi choices, dvd(dvi) and dvd2(dvi) on the AV connection section. I changed the scartplug with its audio-rca cables connected and instantly I got regular stereo sound again. I changed the digital cable to spdif 1 and no sound

  • Re: Assigning spdif sound to dvi dvi source on plasma?

Yes but the only problem is that no matter what source I set in AV I only get a black picture when switching to that source. There is no choice containing the word "dvi" in any choice in the AV section but several in decoder part.
