Hello, Almost year is past and now I have again time to start to try fix my BC. I'm still figthing with this problem... All capasitors are changed, thanks for Martin. Now I did resolder them and CD was working fine..... but then again back to the start. Mayby there is somewhere some other cold solder...

In CD-test mode BEO gives code F.2 for test 2 (focus moving and some light in laser) and F.4 for test 4 ( CD rotate but no radial searching). All other tests working. ????? .sami

Now those capasitors are changed... but still problems. 1) WILL SPIN, TRY TO FOCUS, DISPLAYS TRACK NUMBERS, DOESNT PLAY 2) AS ABOVE, BUT DOESNT DISPLAY NUMBERS 3) TRYS TO SPIN, TRY FOCUS, THEN THEN DOOR OPENS READY FOR ME TO TAKE THE CD OUT. Hello, I finaly did got my BC to my place. Cd unit is CDM 4/24 and here is photo of servo board. I hope with this information is enough to get new capacitor kit. BR. .sami

My B&O type is 2501. Can I find right capacitor kit with type number or should I check this CD unit type. Anyway you still can find these CD units from web... if someone just would tell the right type.

Hello to all. From my Beo (type 2501) is Cd part broken. It dosen't recognize disc at all. My idea is to change hole cd-unit. Could someone to tell me what is the type of this player. I think that it is Philips CDM-2/29 or CDM-2/10? Changing will happen in local B&O service but I would buy this part myself. I will get that part much cheaper
