Hi Steve, I believe looking at the specs only isn't the way to go when choosing a TV, Stereo, or house or any big investment you are about to do. My suggestion is, bring a couple of DVDs, or Blu-ray discs..and also ask your dealer to tune in to a few HD as well as a few analog SD channels…kick back and enjoy..and figure out if you like it

Thanks for the update, Räuber Sounds like a neat solution to be able to record like that! Just saw a few second hand HDR's here... Will get one of those converters and a ATV2 for either my BV3 or my AV9000.. /P

Hi Yeager, I'm glad it worked out with the upgrade! Regarding ATVflash I can really recommend it..and US iTunes account…isn't there always a new project waiting around the corner.. ;-) Cheers!

I agree with you Steffen, maybe the technology simply isn't good enough yet. I've been looking around a lot since it would be nice with a larger picture than 32 inch, but I guess there is still nothing better than a BV3. It's like comparing a really good vinyl LP with a low resolution MP3. Ok, you get rid of the distortion, but the sound

Hi Guys, To get back to the original question, I agree with Spiros, you need ATVFlash on a 1st generation ATV. That gives you colour picture without any adaptors directly to a Scart connection and now it also gives you Airplay, both Video and Audio working exactly like the ATV2. To make that happen you need to install RemoteHD ( which you do from the

Yaeger, I'm sorry to hear you have problems with the wireless connection to your ATV2. Since it seems to work with an ethernet connection, your problem is probably not a firewall issue, but a router issue in your wireless lan. When I bought my ATV1 it was'nt very fond of my Netgear router I had at the time either. It was an early n-standard

For me its not as much what it can do, but how it makes me feel... /Peter

Thanks for the inputs! I remember looking at BV7-32 and BV6-26 when they came out, and I didn't think any of them were even close to the picture quality of my BV3! And trying to see a moving tennis ball or bandy ball on one of those LCD's was almost impossible ( I can imagine cricket being even worse!) So, If I get it right from both of you

Hi Nick! I guess there are a lot of us out there that haven't yet taken the step, mainly because the picture quality of the fantastic 100hz RF screen on Avant/BV3. I have been looking at BV7 also as you mention, but they are usually around 4-5000 euros (40' that is, I see no point getting another 32') and in that case a new BV 10 is not

Hi All! Today I have a BV 3-32 as my main TV in my living room accompanied with BL 8000 as front and BL 6000 as rear speakers ( and a Canton sub) I am extremely happy with the setup and the BV 3-32 has a picture quality that I still think is the best ever! However, I've been thinking that maybe I should slowly move to the digital age of flat screen
