  • Re: BeoWorlders from Japan, are you OK?

Dear Mike, Thank you for your kind offer. Two friends are staying with the family members that they were visiting this week in Tokyo and my lovely wife's son and his family are staying with in-laws near Haneda. Be well, careful and safe. The idea to store some extra water as mentioned above was well thought through. Respectfully, Robert Edit: Family

  • Re: BeoWorlders from Japan, are you OK?

Friends and family members visiting Tokyo are thankfully safe but stranded as I write. We are hopefull that all soon may return home and we shall do what we can to assist those who have lost everything and more. All was quiet here in Western Japan...the thought of a quake in this beautiful country is never far from thought. Best wishes to all for a

  • Re: BeoWorld Asia??

It sounds like a fine idea...however, I imagine that I would continue to source my answers and pose questions to the wealth of knowledge that frequents the General Forum. Robert in Western Japan

  • Beovox 1 Speaker

And one more question please. I am still thinking about a set of speakers for a small room. Does anyone have any listening experience comparing the Beovox 1 speaker with the older vintage Beovox series such as the S-30 or S-40 ? Thank you again. Robert

  • Beosound 1 Speaker

I would like to place some speakers in a small (2.8M x 3.3M) room in the house that I have been building in Western Japan. Is anyone using the Beosound 1 speakers and if so, how do you think the sound compares to some of the vintage speakers such as the S-35 or S-40 bookshelf units? Thank you and best wishes to all for a fine year. Sincerely, Robert

  • Re: 7-40 & 7-55 available in white

Hello and peaceful, calm New Year Wishes to all. Roger added a photo link to his first post in this thread of a white 7-55? with a large, contemporary painting hanging on the wall behind the 7-55. I find the color combination and energy to be most interesting and wonder if anyone might know who painted the creation? I am finishing up the construction

  • Re: Amplifier or Receiver for RL6000 speakers

Dear Peter, Thank you for your insights and for assisting me in my search for a suitable receiver. Using an older Bang & Olufsen receiver in Japan presents some special challenges including those that you refered to. 99.9% reliability coupled with vintage style, 100 volts AC here and the FM frequency might suggest that my only option would be Mr

  • Re: Amplifier or Receiver for RL6000 speakers

Dear Mika, Thank you kindly for your thoughts and ideas. We received a load of Finland Pine two weeks ago for ceilings, some of the floors and walls in the house that I am making! Perhaps I have read somewhere that playing high watt speakers loudly with a low watt amplifier will actually harm the speakers themselves. Is this what you are refering to

  • Amplifier or Receiver for RL6000 speakers

Hello to all. I became a new member in your group today. I have been building a small house here in Western Japan for my Japanese family. The time has come to make some decisions about a music system in the living room as I will be working on the interior of that room in January. The room is 4 meters by 4.5 meters with a normal 2.4 meter floor to ceiling
