• SP15 cartridge in MMC-design?

I don't remember to have seen this before: A "SP15" in the MMC-design (here mounted on a Beogram 1700...) Have I been ignorant - or is this unique?
Wow! You're brave! So, just to get this straight, you were playing the 30Hz test tone while you were aligning the spider and gluing it in place?
Jon - Correcto señor: The spider was glued to the cone already and was glued to the frame using the 30 Hz tone. The point is, that playing the 30 Hz tone actually
Besides, it's not uncommon to see the spider sagged a bit too (due to gravity) and that will definitely have to be corrected another way.
Actually, on one of the M75 woofers I had to dismantle the cone completely from the frame and repair the coil (a bit of the voice coil wire had come loose and had to be

I'll be glad to explain. Actually – I’m surprised that this method is unknown here. On the Lansing Heritage forum (JBL-stuff and where I started my speaker repair "career") it seems to be the preferred DIY-method, but I’m glad to share the experience from the one world to the other. Since the tolerance of the magnet gap
Would you happan to know the diameter of the dustcaps on these woofers? The speakers will not arrive until next week, so I cannot measure this as of yet, but would like to order the parts soon.
You really don't have to change the dust caps - or take of the old ones - to center the cone when mounting new

  • Re: A project well worth the effort

Eugene, Well done - yes they are truely great little speakers! I did more or less the same upgrade with mine - and in terms of listening pleasure it is well worth the effort( http://forum.beoworld.org/forums/t/32520.aspx ). Btw: I think "the 45-2 way" of building a cross over (components directly connectet) is better than the "the S50

  • Re: Tweeter for Beovox S75

Thanks Craig (& Martin), Craig - I saw your post, but when I compared with the tweeter on my M75s it turned out that these are a bit larger. And there could probably be some electric & acoustic differences too. So the hunt goes on - for either a S60 og S75 tweeter. - Claus

  • Tweeter for Beovox S75

Hello - I'm in need for a tweeter for Beovox S75 (it's a 1" dome with rectangular front plate) If you have one for sale I'll be happy to hear from you. Thanks - Claus PS: If someone knows how to repair the old tweeter, that'll be welcome too. When measured there is no connection - but I can't see/figure out where the thin coil

  • Re: Beovox S75: your opinion?
I know someone who has redisigned the crossover and I'm going to listen to them in a few months. He says they now sound even better! He's a very nice guy and I hope he'll be able to show me the crossover layout (if I think it's an improvement). Keep you up to date when I know more.
Mormel, have
If can post 'side by side' pictures if it would help but will not be able to do so until the weekend.
Simon, Pictures are always nice - so let's have a side-by-side . I was puzzled because the link shows the S30 (type: 6317) which has the same grille (and height/width) as the 45-2. Yours must
