  • Re: The BeoWorld Event 2010

For those of you who can't bear to be without B&O for one night, you can rent TheLuxPod, http://www.theluxpod.com which is a 5 minute walk from The BeoWorld event. Bespoke items in the interior are color matched to the anodized blue B&O equipment. How's that for obsessiveness? Minimum stay is 3 nights though. I live a few streets away

  • Re: What do all of you B&O owners think of the 3D HDTV craze?

Ed, HNY to you too and greetings from freezing London! I can recommend the following three Blu-rays which covers model animation, cartoon and a slasher movie - they provide an interesting glimpse into the exciting developments in 3D movie making. Monsters vs Aliens Blu-Ray DVD, purely to watch the animation of the hilarious B.O.B's big break, which

  • Re: Light - Lamp ?

I have a selection of mostly low energy lights. With a floor space of just 9 square metres, and only one room, there is not enough room for a lamp. I love the Lutron Grafik Eye light & shade system because it is integrated with the Beo4 remote. It is cool to press one of the four colored buttons on the beautiful Beo4 to change to a different lighting

  • Re: Intermittent loss of STB Control on Avant

Just fixed mine today - must be due to the change in weather. The sticky thing had come unstuck from the Sky HD box.

The dawn of the new dimension is with us with 3D movies available on Blu-ray being released constantly now. Sony claims it is intending to make the lead in 3D TVs. The NX9003D TV will be available mid year, but one still needs to wear the Sony active shutter glasses at 60 GBP each, which begs the question, what is so special about the Sony TV, other

  • Re: Removing glue from the speaker cover BeoVison6

Graham. Cheers. I think it is a super glue, very shiny surface and will not scratch/rub off - therefore epoxy. I shall contact a manufacturer to obtain the name of a solvent. The front lower cover is aluminium with a coating over it. I tried the baby wipes from information from a previous post and also soap and water with a tooth brush. But it doesn't

  • Removing glue from the speaker cover BeoVison6

I would be most grateful if anyone can recommend a product to remove glue from the blue anodised speaker cover of the BeoVision6. The cover keeps falling off and a guest picked it up when he had glue on his hands. He tried to clean it and made it worse by sticking bits of kitchen paper towel to it.

  • Re: Sky promises 3D Premier League football for ‘mid 2010’

It is not a different 3D. It is Sky's way of creating some marketing leverage. The Sky article mentions a prototype which may not be offered to subscribers. It refers to delivering to one of the screens which replaces the need to wear 3D glasses. These screens will not be in households in 6 months time, because at the beginning of the product life

It has already taken off. Channel 4, in the UK has been running 3D TV for a few weeks now. Sainsbury's supply complimentary 3D glasses as part of a joint initiative. I have been sourcing and comparing higher quality 3D glasses from USA and France. So far, the French 3D glasses are the best. I am also building a Blu-Ray library of 3D movies. (The

  • Re: STB - Official !!!

I purchased STB directly through the company, whose staff are most helpful. It also saved a lot of money compared with the quote from Bang & Olufsen, at the time (about 20 months ago)! Their brackets are superbly engineered and are true quality items.
