I certainly would not call this racism! This is a debate about manufacturing and quality control. And yes, my MacBook is falling to pieces after 18 months even though it is the most well looked after machine around so yeah, control control on these mass produced expensive items is an issue here!!! I have friends from prctically every single country

Beautifully written piece by Dkatz. B&O should stick to their heritage which when we think of beautifully crafted in Denmark goes a long way to justify their huge price tag. I think we should be able to choose were a product is manufactured. OK, the mainstream may be made in China but not this heritage brand. I for one do not want to rely on a Communist

Paul it's the Beosystem 4500 from around 1990, 91, 92 i believe. In the movie "National Lamppons Christmas Vacation", the yuppys BM4500 explodes - but that's another story!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I guess it's super hard to get excited by BeoLit 12 blocks when we had these beauties over 20 years ago - bit sad really that the world is evolving but Hifi isnt as exciting

I totally agree with Dkatz. Bang&Olufsen have lost it! Quality top brands do not fully out source. When asked over the weekend about Chinese made products, my younger generation thought 'poor quality, high profit'. I've just come back from a long weekend in the Lake District. Our Lake House had a Yamaha micro system in it. I conected

Timeless elegance! The most beautiful B&O speaker ever. I've seen these for 18 years and I still love them! One day when im really old and ive lived all of my adventures, I will have a pair of these in my little beach house!
-
I really makes me sad that this beautiful range is so much nicer than the B&O hifis of today - their range now is a bit of a mess and not very desireable! These vintage systems are simply superb!

Hi Malcolm, yes, Apple sell an AV lead (£30) with the 30pin on one side and audio and video photo sockets on the other (called Composite lead) http://store.apple.com/uk/product/MC748ZM/A?fnode=MTc0MjU4NjE Alternatively, you can stream wirelessly from your iPad using Airplay to an Apple TV box (£89 amazon).
