  • Re: Beosound 5 with Beosound 4

Hi I do not agree. They could make it very easy. Two choices: 1. Rip the disc. 2. Play the disc from start to end. If you like what you hear, and will play that disc again, no problem just rip it to the BM5. If not then you have the choice of playing it from start to end once in a while. No fancy CD player functions as the BS5 takes care of that. Rgds

Keith, Well I guessed it was something like that. I have looked at a few of your files, trying to figure out the structure/system .I have also made a few XML's of my own, but I had to do cut-n-paste. Then as you say, it takes a long time, and it is very easy to do mistakes, by leaving out a character or two. I guess you do not want to share your

Thanks for all inputs. Totally agree that the CD ripper should allow playback only, that would be a very elegant solution, and as BO now have the hardware I guess its only a programming question? I have decided to wait to see what BO is coming up with in the next couple of months, and while I wait , my wife will have to continue to use her pc, or I

Thanks Keith. Ok, I can see the advantage of getting a file with pre-assigned hardkeys etc, but how do you program this in to the files? Do you just manually type everything in, or is it cut and past, or? Regards Atle.

Hi. No, its not the Encore. Speakers are BL3 and a BL11, just about perfect for our not to big living room. I am also afraid that if a buy a BS4, it will barely be used, only collecting dust and reduce/limit the operation of my BS5. Atle

  • Beosound 5 with Beosound 4

Hallo. I have ripped all our Cd's to the BS5, but once in a while my wife would like to play a Cd, she has borrowed, or one of these that comes with magazines etc. Normally I do not wish to put these on the BS5, and since we have no stereo cd players in the house, she ends up using a computer. She is not very happy with this and want to have a cd

Hallo. Keith, could you please explain the difference between having the hardkeys and digits etc. pre-assigned in the XML file, vs just program the keys in the Configuration Tool. Rgds Atle

  • Re: Beo6 Config Tool

Would it be possible to have copy of one of your xml files with hardkeys, so I can have a look and see if I get something out of it. I have no clue on how to program the hardkeys, or macros. Regards Atle

  • Re: Make an XML file?

Thank you Keith. I slowly start to understand some of this. I have created my first xml file today. I is a full Panasonic plasma tv file, model Th-Pv600. However trying to make one for my cable box, I get an error: Error:Programs_TrimCodestring:9, subscript out of range. The box is made by Sagem, and the code is captured from the original remote with
