UPDATE: I have received the BL7000 back from Leslie and it now works a treat. 2 way comms with BM 7000, BG7000, BGCD7000, BC7000, BV6000MkII, BC7000VHS, DVD1 all though Penta II's, fully restored. Ooo and LC2's. I am a happy Easter bunny today! Thanks again Leslie. Gary.

Leslie You are a genius! I cannot thank you enough. You have truly made my day. I owe you big time. Just to clarify? It was just one dead cap? Which one? Gary.

OK I see you are in The Netherlands? I am in Sweden but the unit is in London. I will be there this week and will ask my friend how confident he is and maybe we will take the back off together and get a feel for how difficult it may be. If he feels it may be too much can I come back to you? Any shipping costs of course is no problem. Many thanks.

Many thanks for the responses. It does need doing as we are now just one way!!! Leslie, those photographs are very enlightening and may be of help. I have a friend who is quite good with electrics and has sourced the caps so I am trying to persuade him to have a go at it but it is an immaculate 7000 so I am somewhat worried what I will end up with.

9 days and no replies? Surely someone (other than Smarties) has the answer?

  • Re: Attyca Bargain!!!

I had an Attyca 1 to dispose of 9 years ago. Advertised it for £50 again and again but not a single call. Sorry to say it ended up in the tip!!!!

  • Beolink 7000 recap?

Can anyone please recommend someone who can do (and knows) a capacitor renewal on my immaculate Beolink 7000? The machine is in the London area and I don't really want to send abroad. Any help appreciated. BF7

  • Re: One way Beolink 7000 problem...

Hi Martin Since last summer trying to get the capacitors changed in my beolink 7000 the B&O repair centre in Stockholm refused to repair it so it went to London where they also refused to repair it so I took it to the B&O centre in Dorset who have known me for 20 years. Today they informed me that they too have refused to repair it! Getting

  • Re: Another seller warning and Paypal gem

Here is a thought: How do you pay your PayPal bill? I pay mine through a credit card. Does that mean I am covered by the bank too? Does this help?

  • Re: Beolink operation

Phil Since your last communication I have tried everything but still no joy! The link TV's are an MX3500 and MX1500 connected to the VX7000 via a splitter and co-ax lead. Somehow I feel it needs a scart too despite the manual saying otherwise. Dealers don't know the answer either. The only means of selecting frequencies is to do a channel search
