• Re: B&O placement; fun for a change

I'll have to watch more "Smallville". I'm relieved to hear no "real" Beocenter is destroyed in "Christmas Vacation". I organize my movies by genre and alphabetically, so now I can take that one out of "Horror", and back in "Holiday". Whitefang

Well, no, they don't HAVE to be B&O. I just thought B&O's would make an improved replacement satillite over the original. Or, I could simply replace the drivers. If and when I

Pete, The satillites are passive, with a powered subwoofer. The subwoofer has a High pass filter adjustment, so getting good sound for music is no problem. You sound as if you recomend the CX 100s as a replacement for the total package, and I simply want to know if they would be good for satillites. My "reciever" is 100w per channel. Whitefang

  • Re: This is interesting - not B&O

It's scary to realize that I know people who would use all that to listen to(urrgghh!) Coldplay and Nickleback! Whitefang

  • Two Questions

    1. Since losing my B&O system, money restraints have had me suffering with a crapload of substandard sound. The best I've finally wound up with really isn't all that bad...A '90 Nakamichi Stasis TA-4A (they call it a "tuner/amplifier", but it's a glorified reciever), an old Sony CD player, and a Miller&Kreisal sat/subwoofer

I'm sorry. I didn't mean to BORE any of you with this thread. Just trying to contribute SOMEthing. But isn't it funny that when a movie or TV show wants to portray an air of class, style or taste, they throw in some kind of Bang & Olufsen product? And thanks for the link to the old thread. Should have guessed this topic was done before

  • B&O placement; fun for a change

This may seem like a silly game to some, but let's rack our brain and pass the time. I noticed over the years, that B&O components have showed up as "props" or "product placement" in a few movies and TV shows. Have any of you? My examples are: 1. In that movie(title forgotten) where Brendan Fraser is locked in a '60's

Is that a disc on your platter, or is it "naked". If so, it is not exactly the same. Plus, I don't recall my table having a quad mode. The Beocentral link I got suggests a couple of disturbing things, according to the info I got from it. 1. My memory is getting too wonky for my own good, and I better tatoo my children's names and birthdates

OK, I will concede the turntable may have been designated as 6000, ( thanks for the photo ), but will go to my grave insisting the reciever was designated 4500. At least I recall it from the literature I retained for several years( but have lost track of, as I have moved five times since ownership) and yes, the 6000 and the 4500, 4400, or whatever made

  • Hello all

As a new member, I must say I'm glad I found this site. Although I have not owned a B&O system for 20+ years, I remained convinced the product is the finest sound equipment I have ever heard to this day. I do, however, take issue with the model numbers and manufacture dates that appear on this site. I had the Beomaster 4500, which appears in
