how do i tell the age of the beosound 9000 i just purchased? how do i know if it has updates? thank you for help and info

hello, i am the new owner of a beosound 9000, and love it, but now im trying to make it work for all of my accessories, i have since acquired a b&o AV7000. so far i know its a surround processor, and it controls the functions of the 9000.. can someone assist on how to get this to work perfect, any suggestions? does anyone have a schematic/hook up

is there a way to hook up a non B&O subwoofer to my 9000? i have a jbl powered sub woofer from my existing stereo, would like to see if i can still utilize it.. also would like to hook up via a switchbox , some additional inputs, ie: dvd player, (i have a b&o dvd1, my panasonic LCD, (either thru switch box or thru dvd1???) my ipod, and possibly
