Hi all, if a beogram 4000 arm, instead of lowering at the start of the record, goes stright to the end of the record and then comes back, has a small or a big problem? If I get a 4000 with this problem, will I be able to easily fix it, or will it be very difficult? Thanx Loris

What kind of grease should I use ( easily available on ebay or italian shops ) instead of the reccomended Barrierta L5512? ( I couldn't find it on the internet. I just found the L55/2)

well I checked and: the bearing spindle has teflon inside, so there is metal on teflon it's the subplatter that goes up and down the bearing spindle moves, I uploaded a video on youtube: 5005 bearing spindle so maybe you can tell me how to fix it. thanx

Thanx ProGram :-) I have to check if the platter is slightly bent and I also checked the 5005 instructions: some oil is needed in the spindle. I guess that metal on/in metal produces some vibration. The other turntables spindles are much more sophisticatd that the 5005 one. Maybe everything works fine and there are no audible effects, but this turntable
