McIntosh is the exception, their reputation is as good as their sound.
Read [Piaf]'s comments about how they handle warranty ... wonder why I am interested??? P.S. RedGrant: You from the states?
I wish Piaf did a sound comparison. Yes, Omaha, NE.
Take a look over here! I too am looking fwd to more input on this topic!
Well, this is going to be one of my project. As soon as I get BM8000 and a McIntosh, I'll do a test and post it here.
No not at all. That there such a a brand called Mcintosh is news to me.
It's from the states, so maybe that's why. Maybe you should try to audition one sometime. Personally McIntosh is the only amp I would consider getting, besides bm 8000 (after auditioning many), normally I don't go for "audiophile
RedGrant It depends on the speakers you use and the size of the room you have. I recently parted company with my BM6000, but kept the 8000. Nothing would ever make me part with the 8000 as it is a superb amplifier, and I cannot say enough good things about it. You asked what they sound like: the 6000 in many ways is
Not sure where you are, but there is a cheap one (so far) on US eBay right now...
Thanks a million, hope this doesn't trigger a bidding war.

"I still have 2 2035 for my 2 BM6000 and 1 for my BM8000." How is the sonic quality of BM6000 relative to BM8000? I may also have an opportunity to get a non-working bm6000 for very low price, would it be worth having it fixed?
