  • Re: Aux input on Beocenter 5000

Hi peter, I have tried a CD played in my laptop using an external sound card (Creative Labs usb thinggy) connected to the B&O and it sounds pretty good. Its only when I have connected the technics and the pre-amp that I get this issue. Maybe it will be resolved by directly connecting the technics to the BM1900 when it arrives because I will be using

  • Aux input on Beocenter 5000

Hi everyone, got a bit of a question. I have a Beocenter 5000 with a MMC20EN cart on it connected to a restored set of Beovox S55's on original stands (refoam woofers, new caps and rewired pigtails on midrange and tweeters). I have always thought the B&O sounded great, nice relaxed sound with a fair degree of detail, the cart is about 10 years

  • Re: Strange behavior Beomaster 1900-2

I believe the volume in the Beomaster 1900 is controlled by photo sensors ie light sensors which sit inside the light boxes where your volume display lights are located. When your bulb goes out - ie stops working, the Beomaster is reacting to the change in light as if you had manually adjusted the volume. Indeed the volume controls on the BM1900 effectivly

  • WBT: Woofer for Beovox S35 type 6311

Hi everyone, One of the woofers in my Beovox s35's is no longer working. It reads no resistance when measured with a meter. Does anyone have one spare? I am in Australia. The speaker model and type is in the heading, the following is printed on the back of the woofer: 2404 257 38401 dd 02 838 133

  • Re: How to remove RL60 speaker grill

Hi Don, do a search using the top right-hand corner search box. I think there are various threads covering this which will give you picture instructions as well :) I believe there are a few things to be careful of when removing the grill (I dont own a pair but have read about it). Search is your friend, my friend :) Andrew

  • Beomaster Repair in Melbourne Australia - Recommendations

Hi everyone, I just bought myself a Beomaster 1900 on ebay. It needs a few new globes and I would like to get one of Martin's (dillen's) famous capacitor kits fitted but works fine as it is so no major fault finding required. I am absolutely useless when it comes to using a soldering iron for delicate jobs and this unit is in such nice condition
