• Re: Beogram 8002 arm indexing
You can adjust this by losening and relocating the switch under the black metal cover. In your case it will have to be moved a little to the right. Martin
Thanks Martin. All I could find was something held down (pretty tightly) by a phillips screw. Is that it?

  • Beogram 8002 arm indexing

Hi all. I have a BG8002. Its as cherry as these units can get but the arm does land a bit too far into the record. Is there an adjustment screw somewhere that I can adjust myself, or is there some electronic part that needs replacing? Feedback? Thanks very much.

It might be a failing CD mechanism and you'll have to take it to the shop.

  • Re: Beogram 8002 sold for $1275 US on eBay

I think that price hits a nerve for some 8002 owners where they'd be willing to part with it at that pricepoint. I had another 8002 and was the original owner. I bought it with a MMC1 and it was total $1000 US in 1983. Beware, because on some 8002s, the plastic that houses the leaf spring that holds up the dust cover becomes weak and explodes and

  • Beogram 8002 sold for $1275 US on eBay

Wow. It was a pretty cherry unit and came with a MMC2. A fellow from Audiogon told me. Its all in timing; hope that someone comes along and is willing to pay the price when the seller lists it. It had the box and all the packing blocks. I bought mine (pretty cherry too) for a song and a dance. As lovely as it was, it didn't work but I had the confidence

  • My BeoSound 9000 is on the fritz......

A couple months ago, it would stop, go back to rest and standby and all I did was turn it back on. Yesterday, it stopped, left the disc disoriented and went back to rest. I reset it, and tried to turn it back on. The light went on, it clamped onto the disc, but it did not spin. Advanced it to another disc and same thing. To the shop it went. Its going

Oh. Thanks very much Dave. It became much more complicated than I anticipated rather than just plug and play! And the wiring wasn't easy gathering it all up and wrapping them up and running them along the baseboard. Thanks again.

Well, I answered my own question. I plugged in the transformer too close to the Airport. I moved the transformer and voila' (sp?). There was still a little noise and the speakers still not go into standby when no signal was fed. I tried a new transformer and the noise was reduced to a level where I would have to hold my ear to the speaker to hear

Well, it arrived!! I bought the relay from my B&O dealer and set everything up. It sounds beautiful but there is a buzzing noise coming out of the speakers. I think its the transformer that's causing the hum. Will a line conditioner help? Also, the speakers are always on the "on" position. I don't think its a very good relay unit
