JS Bach: Pastorale in F (BWV 950) - dunno the performer nor where the instrument is (caught this on an internet radio station), but I never realized the Pentas would go this low, either
oh yes, if you want to showcase your speakers organ music will do it. Does this sound familiar? http://www.youtube.com/watch

  • Re: Maintenance - Beolab 2

They sounded fine before I did it but now the rubber is blacker. There was no oxidized rubber on the cloth so I don't think it was necessary. The treatment I used is water based. Petroleum based would probably destroy them. All the best. Kevin

  • Re: Sold my Beolab 3

Hi Michael. I bought my 8000s just a couple months ago. B&O Union Square was having a demo sale and I got a markdown. I'm quite sure they have the ABL. I can never keep up with mk1, mk2, etc. How many marks are we up to on the 8000? The bass enhanced ABLs were made after 2005 methinks. I haven't listened to a pair of pre 2005. Unfortunately

  • Sold my Beolab 3

After buying my BL8000, I sold the BL3. I had more speakers than rooms. The 8000 has much better definition, clarity, and transparency, but the bass is not as good. The BL3 is not as good in the midrange. I'm glad I made the switch. Just my own personal review. Comments? Best to all! Kevin

  • Maintenance - Beolab 2

My BL2 is around 5 years old. It says 090904 on the box. I was always worried about the rubber drivers degenerating over time, as with the BL3. So I put tire dressing on it. It nourished the rubber and is supposed to prevent cracking. It also blocks out UV. Too bad I can't listen to it. It's not connected to anything at this time. I'll just

  • Re: Any news about the new subwoofer?

I'm jumping on the bandwagon rather late, but a couple questions: Will it replace the BL2 or will it be another (less expensive?) subwoofer option? Will the BL2 still be produced? Will it have a 'line in' for non B&O applications? I cannot envision what this tulip-like shape or double-pear shape will look like. Any drawings anywhere

  • Re: Beocenter 9000 CD player won't play entire CD

I suspect its the CD mech, which is not cheap to replace ($400 us). I hope yours is a more simple fix.

My 9000 is just one part of my AV setup. I use a Harmony 880 with good results.

Ooooooh, am I #1000? Right now, I'm listening to "Memoirs of a Geisha" thru BL8000 and iTunes. If you like YoYo Ma and Ithzak Perlman, their performances are heart rendering. The soundtrack will definitely showcase your speakers!
