  • Re: Beocenter 2200, low output and no sound from the phonograph

Hi again = I have recently overhauled a BC2200 but it was all mechanical, the electronic ccts being ok - they are good to work on, as all the parts are easily accessible - live if u need to! It is difficult to know what advice I could give, as I do not know your technical ability. Martin might be able to be specific with his experience - I can generalise

Hello again = The existing elecrolytic caps in your equipment are nearly sure to be rated at 85 degrees. The 105 types are superior and will stand the hot environment that sometimes exists in electronic equipment better than the others. It is generally agreed amongst service techs to replace with 105s. Most electronic retailers will sell a vast range

  • Re: Quick Help Please - Beogram 6002

Hi there = You might be able to sort the problem if u look at the Service Manual pdf - u get to it via the Products and follow the links. All the info u require is there, but if this is too difficult for u, then a pic of your pcb might point me or someone to the problem - always worth a try! = Brian (Northumberland)

Hi there = Martin is quite correct. Electrolytic caps are notorious for cockin things up - if u can get hold of a capacitance ESR meter just go round the lot and change all the ones that seem dodgy - its best to change as many as u can as this saves trouble again later - they are cheap enough. Always replace with 105 degree types Caps will often read

  • Re: Sound but no picture on BeoVision Avant 28 with VCR

Ollie = Did u do static test? Before u condemn tube, test the heater supply side circuitry - it comes straight off the line output transformer - u should have continuity from tube base panel thru the heater winding. I looked at cct diagram and saw no fusible link - but there sometimes is a fusible resistor in this cct - make sure. The transformer could

Hi again Ollie = I'm fairly sure u have a set-up problem. Have u got a User Manual to hand - if not u can get it in the Products section and follow the links. I had a quick look there just now and it's possible that if u started from scratch again and followed the guide carefully, you may just get it fixed ok! I can't imagine that a short

Hi Ollie = Presume u have checked all your cons ok 1 Have u a raster on the screen (snow)? If yes - u may have an antennae problem 2 If not, can u feel static off the glass on the back of hand at swith-on? If not - you may have a PSU or Line Output Stage problem It seems a bit strange considering this has happened after your move! Check all your cons
