  • Beocom 6000 Static Noise

Hello, We have 3 Beocom 600 phones that we have been using for the past 8 years. Recently, a static noise can be heard through the phones from the moment one picks one up, and the reception is horrible. Nothing has changed in the house with respect to wireless networks (Airport Extreme one running a 2.4GHz, and one @5GHz). Any ideas or suggestions as

  • Re: Beocom 6000 Shutting Off When I Try To Use It

Burnix, I followed your suggestion of unplugging the battery and charging for 4 hours. The phone seems to be back to normal; I was able to make a call this afternoon without the phone shutting down. Many, many thanks to all of you for your suggestions. Jose

Chris, Burmix & MeandMyShadow, Thanks for your replies. No, I haven't tried switching the batteries but I'll do that. I removed the battery while on as Burmix recommended and the BC6000 is charging now. My phones are several years old so I probably have to use MMS suggestion of keying in 9-#-9-#-9-*-6-5-5-OK. Will this reset the base and

  • Beocom 6000 Shutting Off When I Try To Use It

Hi B&O Members, I can use your help with a weird situation. Recently, one of my 3 Beocoms 6000, the one in the base, shuts off every time I try to dial a call, answer a call, etc. I can power it back on and it will stay on until one of those things happens. The other two phones work fine, and the base has no problems. The only thing I can think

  • Re: Busy Signal on BeoCom 6000

Hola Andy, Unplugged the main base from the outlet for 5 minutes, plugged it back in, waited for things to reach "steady state" and... it worked!!! It's nice to be able to tap into the forum's knowledge. Muchas gracias por tu ayuda. Jose

Andy, I tried 'Removing Handset' but every time I try I get the "BASE CONNECTION *****BUSY*****" message. Even though I can see the phone book, etc., it looks like the handset lost the connection to the base, or it cannot connect. Jose

Good morning Andy, The handset is recharging now but once that's done I'll try the 'Remove Handset' and 'Add' again. Questions, by powering off the base station you mean unplugging the base from the outlet? Also, will that erase the phone book, etc? Thanks, Jose

Good morning Beobuff, Thanks for replying and your suggestion. Last night I removed the battery for several minutes, as you recommended, but the handset still has a busy signal. Jose

  • Busy Signal on BeoCom 6000

Hello, First time here and hoping to find some help. I have 3 BeoCom 6000 phones that have been working without problems. Last night, however, I discovered that one of the handsets has a busy signal and I haven't been able to get a dial tone. I can get a dial tone with the two other handsets, no problem. The odd thing is that all the menus, phone
