• Re: Entry level vintage

Another vote here for one of the stacking systems as a starter system! 18 months ago I was almost in exactly the same position as the OP. I'd decided I fancied building up a vinyl collection and started looking on ebay for turntables, stumbled across a few B&O stacking systems which directed me to Beoworld, where I was sucked in by the enthusiasm
Long list of treats to self when I qualify, including another old motor. Probably will have another MG at some point but looking for a bigger banger next time around - Jensen Interceptor is heading the long-list at the mo'. I'm sure you'll have similar things in mind for when you finish - you got a job
Fair play Rob. Doing medicine as a second degree myself. Had to work four years to save up the fees alone and sell my lovely old MGB to boot :(
You're doing a second degree and sold a classic car to do it (MGs aren't my thing but as a car fanatic myself I can imagine that wasn't easy!) That's

It's a replica Isamu Noguchi coffee table. It's a bit stereotypical 1980s yuppie to be honest (fits with all the 80s B&O I have!) but I like it! You can buy official versions which cost £2k+, but I bought mine brand new for about £170 plus shipping from an Ebay seller !! It's probably made in China but it seems to be good
Rob - you're getting too much student loan if you're able to flash about with Beolink 7000s ;)
Or I spent two years working full-time and saving everything I could after I left school, then go back to the same job every holiday I have from uni to keep money coming in! Hard work but worth it to keep

Thanks Dave! Part of the reason I actually chose that TV was that I thought it would match the B&O and the furniture quite well! To be honest though that's not a great photo of the room - I posted some better ones on that 'flash your B&O' thread a while back. Sadly this is a rented student house and so all my furniture and B&O
