The straps are a different size - RL140s are really quite big!! £23 is a very good price! You could always tie them together and use them as a punt!
Oh, didn't realise that! guess I'll just have to squeeze them in here somehow! I thought £23 was a good price too, but it was quite a badly produced

Thanks for the offer Peter, I have sent you a PM. Well guessed about the room! I suppose I would have called it my bedroom otherwise. I should add my room is rapidly accumulting B&O equipment that it doesn't really have space for! I have read people on here saying it's like an addiction and I think they're right. I'd hardly heard

Thanks for replies so far. On the basis of Graham's response I have just emailed the seller to agree to buy the MX!! I had thought about getting a CD5500 but seeing as I only recently bought the 5000 system and the CD50 does work most of the time I had hoped there would be a way to get the small problems fixed - I suppose it depends on the costs

Hi there, I have a couple of unrelated questions to ask. Any advice would be much appreciated. Firstly, I have a CD50 as part of a Beosystem 5000. Most of the time it works fine but if a CD's been playing for more than about 20 minutes if I ask it to skip track it seizes and the only way to get it to work again is to turn the whole system off and

Hi I've recently bought a very attractive Beosystem 5000 complete with original stand, terminal 5000 and a pair of RL60s which I'm very pleased with. It's all working well (althought the CD50 can be a bit tempramental when asked to change tracks!) and it's good cosmetically, if not mint. The only flaw in it is that one of the RL60s is

Thanks everyone. In that case I think I'll go for it and I'll keep an eye out for a working CD player on Ebay to add to it later. How much should I be looking to pay for one? And what are the best speakers to upgrade to, bearing in mind I'm on a relatively tight student's budget!?

Thanks for the advice so far. I emailed the seller and he's saying his bottom line on price is £275. He's also saying the cartridge is definitely in working order and is promising to have it set up to give a full demo if I go to see it. Does this seem more reasonable then?

Yeah I'd read the speakers weren't that good. I was planning on replacing them at some point if I bought this system. The seller says that the stylus was in good condition, but he also says that the system hasn't been used for 5 years - will that mean the stylus will need replacing? I don't know much about record players - they were

Hi, I've just joined the forum because I'm looking to buy a Beosystem 5500. I'm new to B&O and don't know that much about it apart from what I've read on here. I've seen one advertised privately for £325 with all parts apart from the CD player, and includes a pair of Beovox MCX35 speakers. It's supposed to all be
