Was macht nun der 7-40 nach 15..30 Minuten??? Er geht aus! BeoCare weiss von nix. Kann das Phenomen jemand bestätigen? Gibt es eine Lösung? Habe die aktuellste

  • Re: Played around with BS5 - Disappointed

Well, you have a bigger screen in BS5 but how is the screen real estate actually used ? In iTunes you proceed through the levels Music -> Interprete -> Album -> Title where each level occupys the full screen. In BS5 however, the screen real estate is actually wasted. Just look their "cover flow". They have 4x the screen but the album

  • Played around with BS5 - Disappointed

The hardware is well-built and meets the usual high B&O standards in haptics and materials. The user interface looks quite futuristic, but won't set a design classic standard. What took me down is that the concept looks like just an interpretation of iTunes but it certainly does not put it to a new level. iTune's cover flow looks much better

  • Re: Updating the BV7-40 on Your own?

@moxxey: I meant "Con" in terms of pros&cons as positive and negative side effects. I am German and may have chosen an inappropriate word by accident. Sorry for the word choice if it was inappropriate. Thanks for the link. I will check that thread.

I wonder if the dealer or B&O will also disclose the negative side impacts of any of their updates?!

Alex: ..You could ask for it to be updated to the latest software, but you must also bear in mind the acknowledged issues related to it. You scare me ;-) Is there any comprehensive changelog including negative side impacts of the updates? What is the biggest Con to update with the BV 7-40 MK3?

  • Updating the BV7-40 on Your own?

Is there really no (unofficial) way to update the firmware of my BV? Most users generally, know how to download a firmware update tool and firmware images and probably would like to avoid having to pay and wait for the service to drive by just for the sake of hooking up a laptop to the TV for a minute. I feel that it must be a frequently asked question
