• Re: New touchless remote made to B&O, very nice...

Seems to have gone very quiet on this front Guy which is a shame because I was following this product with much interst too. I love the concept and it would be perfect if B&O produced it. Right up their street I think. We know it was an idea from a student that B&O loved and awarded a first prize for in a competition. Not too sure about any

  • Re: OK, who put all that Latin nonsense on the December Prize Draw?
I do indeed try and refrain from such a regimented application of garrulous lexica as it becomes difficult to rephrase when teaching secondary school children. However, I have got them to use hyperbole correctly and jingoistic which I am quite pleased about. Next stop verisimilitude.
Love that! So you teach

  • Re: Beovision 7-40 MKIII or MKIV

If they were both priced the same I would buy the Mark IV because its a newer model. However, for such a difference in price, the Mark III represents excellent value for money. I bought the Mark III from new in November 2007 and it is an excellent TV, no question. HD sources through Sky and Bluray films through my PS3 are brilliant. If the TV has the

  • Re: HDMI splitter for BV8

BeoJeff... its not outdated as such, just overpriced and not as future proof as other models available. • Re: Sky promises 3D Premier League football for ‘mid 2010’

Forget 3D, its all about Ultra HD, that's what the next generation TVs will be all about. Could be a while before we get to use the technology though as we need a fibre optic network to start with, let alone bandwidth, compression rates, storage and sound requirements to enjoy it in all its glory. http://www.techradar.com/news/television/hdtv/after

  • Re: Bad quality picture of integrated blu-ray in BV7-40

I didn't think the picture was any different from any other Bluray player personally but if you notice such differences with your own eyes then you should take the TV back and use your external player on a Mark III set. I use a Sony PS3 with a Mark III 7-40 and the picture quality is absolutly superb. Be interesting to hear what Chris (Moxxey) has

  • Re: BeoVision 7 40'' BluRay or BeoVision 10 40''

"...Simon, you have room for the BV7-55? :) Seriously?" Yes Chris, the 7-55 would fit perfectly into the space in my living room. I also love the way it looks on the floor stand, they both seem to work really well together and provide a natural viewing height and angle. Any idea what the price will be? I'll have to lose the table but I

  • Re: BeoVision 7 40'' BluRay or BeoVision 10 40''

I saw the BV10 for the first time in my local dealer last week. I've got to be honest, it was disappointing. I thought it would be similar to the BV5 but its nothing like it at all. The thing that sticks out in my mind about it the most is build quality and general appearance. It just looks cheap and tacky. I thought it may have been the new Avant
