  • Re: Poll: How big is your CD collection ?

I would guess about 2-300 Cd's another 50 or so LP's about 8000 songs on iTunes and maybe around 5 or 6 cassettes. I drift back and forth between iTunes and playing Cd's and records. Lately I have been restoring a bunch of old vinyl. Mostly stuff from the 50's and early 60's. I am amazed at how well some of the early sterophonic

Went to spend a couple of days with my mother in Indianapolis, (spring cleaning), picked up some old vinyl that was part of my deceased stepfathers collection. I have an old Hugo Winterhalter - "Wish You were Here" album playing. Most of the vinyl is in really good shape but unfortunately it was all stored down in her basement so between the

No problem on the source. It was a "dress shop"/ cloth store. The red material is something more or less used for sports jerseys and the like. Very transparent on the acoustic end. The charcoal black gray silvery stuff is liner material used as in between material on heavy fabrics. coats draperies etc. When I went to the store with a sample

Recapping both set of my Redlines the 60.2 and the 60's made all the difference in the world. Wasnt really all that difficult. But Mika is correct in stating check your board. The cross on his set looks nothing like the cross on mine. As I recall my caps were 22uf 15 uf and two 6.8 uf for the 60.2 and 15, 10, 6.8 and 4.8 uf for the 60's. and

I got bored waiting on parts for a BM3000 and thought I would give this another look. It would seem that Premiumverum and I encountered the exact same problem with the same turntable, at the same time, half a world away. It was his thread that lead me to a resolution to it all. It seems the piston inside the coils can lock up over time which was what

  • Re: Beomaster 3000 80's No volume control, mute, or balance controls

I was not planning to replace it. While I was taking the unit apart a I noticed that the paste had dried up. Most of the caps I get from my local supplier are NTE, the ones I order online from Newark are from various companies. Just depends on what I want to pay. I dont usually go for the cheapest nor do I but the most expensive I will pick up an ESR

Ok- not a problem with replacing caps where necessary. If you think of other as a matter of mainteance in general list them and I will go ahead and get them ordered. Are those Red/Brown ROE caps that I see in a lot of B&O equipment all due for replacement after 20 years or so. Seems like I read that here and there. Also, the output TR4 was pasted
