  • Re: BV10 thoughts after one year launch?

I've had the 40" BV10 for about six months now, and am generally satisfied. Very good picture, fun rotating floorstand , elegant design and good build quality. There are some foibles, but I'd still have bought the TV had I known about them back then. I'm pleased, but not blown-away pleased. The foibles: 1. Comparatively poor sound to

  • Re: Programming LC1

Thanks, but it doesn't work. I spent over another hour tonight experimenting to no success. Maybe only a Beolink 1000 will do the trick. Programming light pictures was OK though, after lots of trial and error. I've written down a *very* step-by-step procedure to guide me in the future. Here it is if anyone's interested. PROGRAMMING LIGHT

  • Re: Programming LC1

Hi, I was wondering if anyone could help me program LC1's with a Beo4. I downloaded the manuals to both LC1 and LC2 and fiddled over an hour and am at my wit's end. I have two LC1's and basically would like to program one as LAMP 1 and the other as LAMP 2, as I've read they could be programmed to do, so I could control either one individually

  • Re: news on beovision 10

The "3 HDMI" has been available in US BV 10-40's since the beginning (since they don't have DVB module installed). The most exciting feature of the new version is that it may have an upgraded screen, lit on 2 sides, not 4 sides like the old version. It's supposed to eliminate the clouding issue. I've heard the firmware update

  • Re: New specifications BV 10-46

Yes, for example the US BV10-40 has three HDMI's, not two. I seem to recall someone mentioning it's because one of the inputs is taken over my some kind of module in the EU? Leo

  • Re: Got me some Beolab 9's

I have BL 9's with a BV 10, and have programmed the system so when music source is selected, sound comes out of the 9's (ie. SPEAKER 2), but when video source is selected, sound only comes from the TV (ie. SPEAKER 1). Main reason is that the BL 9's are so clear and the soundstage so wide, it sounds very weird with them on during casual TV

  • Re: BeoSound 2000

The BeoSound 2000/Century is a wonderful all-in-one unit. You can also hook up a minijack-to-DIN adapter cable and connect any newfangled iPod/mp3 device you wish! It was my main system in college and grad school. Leo

  • Re: CD player problems

Dermot - I sympathize with your plight. The laser in my car CD player has recently failed as well. In no way am I excusing B&O, but perhaps CD laser/mechanism manufacturers (Phillips, Sony and the like) shoulder a part of the blame for increasingly shoddy build quality. For parts obtained from external suppliers, B&O absolutely should insist

  • Re: BL3 + BL11

I've no experience with BL 3 or 11, but can chime in a little regarding the Quad. A quarter of a century ago my father acquired the Quad 66 series CD transport and amp and set it up in conjunction with BeoVox Pentas. The sound quality and build quality was second-to-none, and the best endorsement one can give is that he's still using the same

  • Re: Beocenter 2300 lights, sliding doors malfunction, CD won't play

My Ouverture has the sliding doors issue as well but not as severe. The motor continues to run for about two seconds after doors have fully opened. It also has tape issues - when inserting a new, rewound tape, it would play for a second then auto-reverse, as if it thought it had already played that side. I have to manually wind or fast-forward the tape
