Hi, before trying link settings etc, did you make the masterlink cable yourself? If so it's very easy for one of the cables to not make a clean connection causing all kinds of issues. I have experienced this before when I used a DVD1. Have turned off 'movie mode' on the TV. I don't know whether movie mode actually makes a difference to the brightness/contrast but it might be worth trying it? Regards

What is plugged into the BV5 when you are watching movies? Is it a DVD 1? Apple TV? Set Top Box?

With the software I have I'm afraid there is no way to select dvi (other than selecting pc on the remote). All other inputs can be assigned.
