Thanks for the quick reply, sir! Regards Christian

Dear Mr. Phil Can I connect my MX7000 with the converter's powerlink socket and thus the tv's active speakers whenever I turn on the Beosystem2300 (without the TV screen it self turning on of course)? Or can you give me another good idea? Your knowledge is indeed impressive ! Best Regards Christiab

Thanks for your advice, Mr. Phil. However, if I introduce a VCR in order for my BL7000 to function more throughly I think my wife will want a divorce (she alreday refuses to use the BL7000 now that she finally got use to the Beo4). Do you know how the BL7000 works with the B&O DVD machines? Best regards Christian

Thank you for your reply, Mr. Graham. Could be the case, that I could connect a link speaker in another room which I could control my Beosystem2300. Some thing like a Beolink Passive Eye and an active speaker? Or have I misunderstood the capacity of my ML/MCL 1611 converter? Regards Christian

Interesting, Sir! You write thatr your BL7000 works perfectly 2-ways with your MX7000 - can you elaborate? Which features does it give access to? I paid £100 for my MX7000 - here in Denmark you can by non-flat screen B&O TV's for practically nothing. Does anyone know, if there is another non flat screen B&O TV which will work probably

I qoute from the other thread: " AFAIK it depends on the software version of the television. You can check it with menu-0-0-go if you have a Beo 4 (dunno how to do that with other remotes) or simply take a look at the type

So from what I can understand I am not the only one in the world with this problem. The most simple solution is just to use the Beo4. However, it does not support the two way communication in my Beosystem 2300. Secondly, and much more important, I think the Beolink7000 is a magic piece of equipment. Nothing can match a Beolink7000 - even though it is

Dear Mr. Phil Thank you for your answer. I think your logic is very consistent - if I could make the BL7000 send a stand command the problem would be solved. If you have any ideas on how to do this I am all ears. Going down the "change software"-road also sounds like a good idea. However, it would be nice to know exactly which software version

I have connected my Beosystem 2300 with a Beolab 2000 via datalink cable from Beosystem 2300 to 1611 Converter and plugged it in the Aux - plug. I have connected the Beolab 2000 with the converter with a masterlink cable. However, in the converter - next to the "Aux" plug to which I have connected my Beosystem 2300 there is a "vacant"
