Pushkin, could this be a bit of boredom masquerading as dissatisfaction?

I think you are right. The current strategy has failed. What B&O needs is new customers. To get those it needs a lower price/cost base and a revised product mix that can deliver those elusive new customers. It all sounds easy doesn't it....

soundproof: We're in agreement, Puncher. I should have been more precise. B&O has lost the design-centric group - the design cognoscenti are elsewhere, and yes - it's those with a higher disposable income that gravitate to the brand now. Or did - judging by how things are developing. Out of interest where are the design cognoscenti now?

Fair enough. I personally hate seeing all the detritus hanging off the back of the set. My ideal would be a built in BluRay/DVD and a built in Twin Tuner Hi Def STB with Hard Disk recording facilities. For me B&O is about elegance which is somewhat compromised by having to attach a load of other devices unless they can be well hidden.

I am not so sure about the BV7-40 without DVD (and ultimately a Blu-ray player). To me it is a bit like a car with three wheels. Yes it might be cheaper but is it really worth having... of course I could be totally wrong about this. It smacks of marketing.

Have a good look around these forums for pointers on how to program the Beo5. It can be done by a savvy end user, although the software is not that great. Have a look at the dedicated Beo5 forum.

how do I do this? What commands are required?

Any "always on" pixels would be highly visible on the BS5 due to the black background. Not sure if this will be an issue though.

I think those laid-off auto workers may be at home using up the bandwidth...
