Hello My Beocom 2 keeps reverting to 'clock has not been set' status. At which point I reset the clock, date etc and then it may work again for a while before it reverts again. Please help!

Please help!!! I have a used beocom 2 which i am trying to register with a brand new beoline base. The beoline base is flashing as expected but the beocom 2 handset just keeps saying "no contact with base". Any help much appreciated, thanks!
