Speakers are plugged in but they are not the same ones as I have replaced my 4000s with 6000s would this make a difference?

Hello all My beo4 has stopped controlling my 9000 and I can't figure out why. I've tried another Beo4 also with no luck. Apart from the 9000 being unplugged for several weeks I cant think why it would do this. The 9000 still works fine when you manually press the buttons on the control panel. Any chance they just need paired somehow? I seem
